The Refresh Project

I’m breaking up with myself.  I’ve had enough and I’m ready to move on…

You see, I’ve spent the majority of my adult life collecting stuff.  Stuff I thought I loved, stuff I was passionate about or stuff that was going to lead to a new hobby, a new “me”.  Art, books (a lot of books), knitting supplies, antique photographs, pottery, the list goes on.

That girl, that “has-to-have-the-pretty” girl – she’s not me anymore.  I’m staring age 35 squarely in the face and I’ve found a definition of myself that does not include the things I continue to move from place to place.

So the divestiture begins…along the way I hope to find some innovative ways to dispose of my things.  I’m sure I’ll discover things I didn’t know I had and wonder about things that I thought I did.  I’ll probably discover some things about myself as well.

Anyone else decluttering (either your homes or your minds)? What have you discovered?
